With everything going on, we want to address a question we have been receiving quite often.
HOW DO I CLEAN MY MANIKIN TO BE UP TO STANDARDS WITH COVID-19?
Prestan Products always recommends cleaning your CPR manikins thoroughly after each class. Along with cleaning the outside torso and face, you want to make sure you are opening the manikin and wiping the chest foam and skin to sanitize the inside as well. You can use a mixture of soap and water to clean the manikin effectively. If the area is extremely dirty, you can also use common household cleaners such as Formula 409, Windex, or Vim. Clorox or Lysol wipes can also be gently applied to clean them if needed.
Prestan Adult Manikins withNOSE HOLES! The Prestan Professional Series manikins will now have life-like nose holes on the face skin. This feature was put into effect on October 3rd and will now be on all new Prestan Adult Manikins (PP-AM-100M-MS). If you for some reason need a replacement face skin, you will receive an updated version with the new nose holes. You can view the new product update in the picture below!
The new nose holes on the manikin’s face skin are for visual purposes only. This means that they are not fully functioning – air willnot flow through the nose holes into the lung bags! They are meant to stimulate a realistic nose pinch and enhance the overall look of the manikin. Prestan is working hard to make their CPR Manikins as realistic as possible for their customer, and we are super excited about the updates they are making!
You’re looking for ’em. We’ve got ’em. Unlike many of our competitors, MCR Medical has 2019 AHA guidelines compliant CPR manikins in stock and ready to ship!
Getting compliant has increased demand for CPR manikins, and many customers say they can’t find them in stock from other distributors. But MCR Medical guarantees we have the manikins you need in stock and ready for immediate shipment!
Earlier this month we learned of Prestan discontinuing light skin tone CPR manikins. This decision includes adult, child, infant, single and 4 packs, collections, family packs and jaw-thrust manikins. Some light skin tone products will be available for a limited time.
Prestan’s decision to nix the light models is based on the greater popularity of medium and dark manikins, which look more realistic and are easier to keep clean. The change comes at a time when many CPR instructors are preparing for the 2019 AHA compliance updates.

DO YOU DRESS FOR CPR SUCCESS?
You are a CPR professional, and your classroom rig should reflect that. The new ManiVest CPR Manikin Vest from MCR Medical brings next level CPR training and protects your investment. Check out this exclusive accessory that sets you apart from the competition.
We designed our vest for adult-sized manikins with several unique features.
The custom fit protects your manikin body from dirt and damage during travel or storage (also appropriate for most small/ child sized manikins).
The vest easily unzips to begin practice compressions and access feedback monitor (if applicable) without undressing.
The see-through pocket can hold your business card, or add a little whimsy to your class by having students “name” the manikin and place a name tag in the pocket.
